Negros Occ. 3rd District Rep. Javi Benitez led yesterday the blessing and inauguration of road concreting and classroom construction projects in various barangays in Murcia.

The Lopez Jaena National High School in Barangay Lopez Jaena and the Murcia National High School in the town proper received four classrooms each, while Barangays Iglau-an, Talotog, Cansilayan and Zone 5 benefitted from road concreting projects.

Benitez stated that his office always strives to deliver meaningful and beneficial projects to his constituents in the 3rd District. The additional classrooms will beef up the capacity of the two schools to accommodate more students and provide a more conducive learning atmosphere, while the newly-concreted roads will make it more convenient and safer for people to travel within their respective localities.

With Benitez during the activity were Murcia Mayor Gerry Rojas, Vice-Mayor Johnny Reosura, Sangguniang Bayan members and other Murcia officials, as well as staff of the 3rd District Legislative Office headed by Murcia Coordinator Benjie Villa.

“On behalf of all Murciahanons, we are extremely grateful to Rep. Javi Benitez for his tireless efforts in facilitating with various national government agencies the delivery of much-needed infrastructure projects for residents of the 3rd District, particularly of Murcia. Madamu gid nga salamat, Cong. Javi!” said Rojas.

“Our students, their parents and teachers in Lopez Jaena National High School and Murcia National High School sincerely appreciate the construction of these eight classrooms. With the road concreting projects in Barangays Iglau-an, Talotog, Cansilayan and Zone 5, our constituents will be spared from dusty roads during summer and muddy roads during rainy season,” Rojas added.*
