The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) intensified its crackdown on local crime following two successful operations on January 10, which resulted in the arrest of a top-tier wanted criminal and a trio of notorious motorcycle thieves.
Late in the afternoon at approximately 5:46 p.m., the tracker team of Police Station 6, apprehended a suspect known by the alias ‘Rex’, 18, at Purok Sunrise, Barangay Taculing.
Alias ‘Rex’ was listed as the City’s No. 9 Most Wanted Person and was taken into custody by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of robbery.
Just a few hours later, at around 10 p.m., officers from Police Station 4 conducted an anti-criminality operation at Purok Gahiliogyon, Brgy. 23.
During the operation, authorities caught three suspects in the act of stealing a Honda Click motorcycle.
The suspects, identified by the aliases ‘Edmar’, ‘Ronel,’ and ‘Reynaldo,’ are all residents of Talisay City, Negros Occidental, and are described by police as notorious motornapping suspects.
The stolen motorcycle was successfully recovered by the responding officers, and all three suspects were brought into police custody.*
