Personnel from the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company (BCMFC) apprehended a robbery suspect during a checkpoint operation in Barangay Sum-ag following a hold-up incident that transpired in Purok Paho, Bago City.
The operation led to the immediate recovery of the victim’s stolen property and the vehicle used in the crime.
The BCMFC reported that they were conducting a checkpoint when they were approached by the victim, who was searching for a man on a motorcycle.
During the encounter, officers noticed a rider attempting to make a sudden U-turn to avoid the checkpoint.
Following his arrest after a motorcycle mishap, the suspect, who was positively identified by the victim, was turned over to Police Station 9 along with the victim’s recovered tablet and the getaway vehicle.
Authorities are now conducting a background check to determine if the individual has a prior criminal record or involvement in other recent criminal activities.
