The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod recently approved a resolution granting the request of the Office of the City Engineer for a Resolution of No Objection (RONO) for the Bacolod City General Hospital in Brgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, for the purpose of securing an Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) for the project.
The Barangay Council of Vista Alegre also passed Resolution No. 386, Series of 2023, interposing no objection to the city project.
Earlier, the SP of Bacolod City had authorized Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez to enter into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Department of Heath VI (DOH6), represented by Dr. Adriano Subaan, on the transfer of P50 million sourced under the Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) for 2023, for the completion/improvement of the Bacolod City General Hospital in Vista Alegre.
The funds shall be chargeable against the Sub-allotment Advice (SAA) No. 2023-02-000679 dated February 27, of CY 2023 General Appropriations Act under the HFEP and shall be obligated on or before December 31 this year, based on the proposed MOA.
The construction of the city hospital has initial funding of P600 million from the 2022 General Appropriations Act also under the HFEP of the DOH.*
