Members of the Rotary Club of Bacolod-Marapara and the Rotaract Club of Marapara recently conducted a bloodletting activity in Brgy. Pahanocoy, Bacolod City, as part of their outreach community programs.
According to the press release, the activity themed ‘Dugo Ko, Sugpon sang Kabuhi Mo’ saw volunteers from both clubs join 60 other donors to give over 50 units of blood.
“Bloodletting saves lives and we’re pleased to have the opportunity to make a contribution to the emergency and medical needs of the residents of Pahanocoy,” said Rolando Corona, president of Marapara Rotary.
The bloodletting was a joint project with the Sangguniang Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. Pahanocoy Council and the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
Marapara Rotary provided food for the donors and volunteers who took the time to participate in the activity. Both clubs are planning another bloodletting in January, 2022.*PR
