Rotary, Chamber extend aid to ‘Odette’ victims

Members of the Rotary Club of Bacolod and Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade in Himamaylan.*

Rotary Club of Bacolod and Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade continue to bring aid to Typhoon Odette victims in the cities of Bago and Himamaylan, and municipality of Binalbagan, Negros Occidental on January 22.

Aid was extended to typhoon victims in southern Negros through relief operations in Brgy. Ma-ao, Bago City; barangays San Pedro and Payao, and Don Angel Locsin Memorial School in Binalbagan; and at PurokAglahug, Brgy.Mahalang, Himamaylan City.

The distribution of about 10,000 liters of drinking water; 1,400 rice, food and grocery packs; and vitamins was led by Life Changing President Pauline Cuaycong, Past District Governor Edgar Sy, Past President and Club Secretary Frederick Anthony de Leon, Past President Jose Glenn de Guzman, Club Director Marjorie Dino, Rotarian EdlynAgraviador;

The Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade led by PDG Edgar Sy, Bago City Councilor Jones Soncio, City Disaster Risk Reduction Management, Brgy. Captains led by DionitoGahaton, Manfredo Cesar, Vincent Tan, Caroline Lopez, School Principal Gina Tortal-Sabio and teacher volunteers, Himamaylan CSWD EG Castro, DSWD Fatima Alforte, ErminEsmandol of City Link, members of the Philippine Army 94IB 3ID, barangay officials, barangay health workers and volunteers.
