The Rotary Club of Bacolod and Bacolod Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade recently joined the blessing and turned over of the Laos Elementary School Multi-Purpose Covered Court at Sitio Laos, Barangay Binobohan in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental
Past District Governor Edgar Sy, Club President Marjorie Dino, Past President and Club Secretary Frederick Anthony de Leon, Past President Pauline Cuaycong, President Nominee Edlyn Agraviador, and Rotarians Michael Gaerlan, and Marilyn Dormido witnessed the blessing and turnover of the special project to the people of Brgy. Binobohan on December 17.
The guest of honor was Mayor Filomeno “Mikoy” Reyes of the City of Guihulngan who delivered his keynote message while Fr. Raymand Asoy officiated the blessing of the multi-purpose covered court.
Also present during the turnover are teachers and students of Laos Elementary School, parents, volunteers, and representatives from the Bacolod Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade.
The project is the fruit of the harmonious relationship and long term partnership by the Rotary Club of Bacolod, Past District Governor Edgar Sy and the people of the barangay.
The Laos Elementary School Covered Court will be used for the students’ sports development program and extracurricular activities.
Culminating the inauguration and turnover ceremony is Rotary Club of Bacolod’s children’s party and gift giving that included habal-habal drivers, parents and teachers.
