A traffic enforcer is now in “hot water” for alleged rudeness, after he was seen in a video posted on social media allegedly shouting at a traffic violator in Bacolod City.
Joan Ducay, who was able to document the incident, said in a post she made in the social media, questioned the actuation of the traffic enforcer, whose identity is not available as of press time, when her husband’s attention was called for an alleged traffic violation.
While she admitted that her husband committed infractions, the traffic enforcer should not shout at him, Ducay said.
PMajor Junji Liba, chief of the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office, said he already summoned the traffic enforcer to explain his actions.
Liba said initial investigations showed that Ducay and her husband, who was driving a public utility jeepney (PUJ), were apprehended on July 13 at the junction of B.S. Aquino Drive and Lacson Streets in Bacolod City.
While BTAO is investigating the incident, Liba reminded traffic enforcers to always observe maximum tolerance.
Instead confronting and uttering rude remarks, Liba said a traffic enforcer should issue a citation ticket to the traffic violator and explain the violations committed.*
