A music festival featuring singing heartthrob Arthur Nery highlighted the nine-day Tanduay Bacolod Rum Festival in Bacolod City, following a float parade and street dance competition at the Bacolod City Government Center grounds Saturday.
Held on the last day of the second staging of the Rum Festival, the music fest was attended by a crowd of about 32,000, based on the estimate of the Bacolod City Police Office.
The first Tanduay Bacolod Rum Festival was held in 2019 with the passage of the Bacolod Rum Festival Ordinance authored by Councilor Em Ang.
Rising OPM artists Ethan Loukas and Magnus Haven also performed during the music festival while Tanduay brand ambassador Derek Ramsay made a special appearance during the event.

Meanwhile, Tanduay sister company, Philippine Airlines, showed its support to the rum fest by flying in The Voice Kids champion Lyca Gairanod for a surprise performance.
On the other hand, Timplada Restaurant headed by Chef Jainus Cambelissa was declared the grand champion of the Culinaria competition and was awarded P35,000.
First runner-up was GT Hotel led by Chef Glennuel Paul “GP” Velasco which was awarded P25,000, while second runner-up was 26 Herb Garden led by Chef Joeri Ricaredo Arro which received P20,000.
Denib Trangia was declared the grand champion of the Bottle Art competition and received a cash prize of P10,000, followed by Renmar Barring in second place who received P7,000 and Philip Aldrin Nalang in third who got P5,000. Consolation prizes of P3,000 each were awarded to Elvin John Frias and Rusty Quiatchon.
The Barrel Art competition winners, meanwhile, were Renmar Barring (first place), Elvin John Frias (second place) and Albert Limbaña (third place), who received P10,000, P7,000 and P5,000, respectively. Tracy Uhlmann and Regine Pintor received P3,000 each as consolation prizes.*
