The city government of Sagay announced the implementation of new temporary fare rates for motorized tricycles-for-hire, as approved under Resolution No. 2026-117, a press release from Sagay PIO said.
A base fare of P15.00 will apply for trips within three kilometers, with an additional P2.00 per kilometer beyond.
This adjustment is in response to the rising costs of fuel, vehicle parts, and basic commodities, aiming to support tricycle drivers while ensuring fair and reasonable fares for commuters.
The public is advised that this is a temporary measure and will be lifted once economic conditions stabilize.
Passengers and drivers are encouraged to follow the approved fare matrix accordingly.*
