The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center said eight were recently added to its pipeline of PPP projects for undertaking between the government and the private sector.
Data released by the PPP Center showed that as of March 14 this year, projects newly added to the list include the Localized Online Visitor Ecosystem Metro Manila: Phase 2 of the Philippine Tourism Digitalization Project, Operations and Maintenance of the Panguil Bay Bridge Project, Public-Private Partnerships for School Infrastructure Project Connect, and the Construction of Septage Treatment Plant in Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Other newly added projects included the MMDA Emergency Response Center, Project KILO, TUBO: A Tariff and Utility Blueprint for Water Operations, Model for the Iligan City Waterworks System, and the Development of Water Supply System for the municipality of Mangatarem in Pangasinan.
The PPP Center said these bring the total number of projects in the pipeline to 176, with a total project cost of P2.60 trillion.
While the total number of projects in the pipeline is still 176, the total project cost is slightly higher than the P2.47 trillion reported on Feb. 10 this year.
“The change in the number of projects in the pipeline is due to the addition of projects and delisting of PPP projects,” the PPP Center said.
Delisted projects include the Design Build Finance Operate the Air Navigation Services of the Philippines, the Digitalized Traffic Enforcement of GMA Cavite, Municipality of Cainta, Cauayan City, and the Municipality of Pagsanjan, and the RENEWSTABLE Green Hydrogen Power Plant in Marinduque.
The PPP Center said the Aquilino Q. Pimentel Jr. International Convention Center Project and the Cavite Bus Rapid Transit System were also removed from the pipeline database following their award and are now reflected in the PPP Center database of projects under implementation.*PNA
