• GILBERT P. BAYORAN

A man believed to be a ‘salvage’ victim was found inside a sugarcane field on Thursday at Sitio Lemonsito in Barangay Quintin Remo, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.

The victim, believed to be in his 30s, succumbed to multiple gunshot injuries, according to the initial investigation of the Moises Padilla Police Station.

PLt. Arnolfo Robles, Moises Padilla deputy police chief, in a radio interview, disclosed the head of the victim was wrapped with a black jacket, wearing a white T shirt and purple colored short pants, when he was found.

The victim also had a tattoo on his right arm, according to the police.

Robles said he believes that the man was a victim of summary execution, noting multiple gunshot wounds on his body.

He remains unidentified, as of press time, the police said.*
