Sampaguita Lions Club holds charter anniversary, induction

The Bacolod City Sampaguita Lions Club will hold their 26th charter anniversary and induction of officers and new members for LY 2020-2021, starting 5 p.m. today at the L’Fisher Chalet in Bacolod City.

District Governor Alfonso Deocampo Jr. of District 301-B1 and vice chairman of the State Council of Governors, congratulated the club, adding, “It is indeed a life-enriching experience for me, particularly because of the resounding support of your club from the very beginning.”

The seeds of charity and goodwill that we sow in society will always bear fruits and much humanitarian services need to be reinforced in helping the millions worldwide because of the present situations, he added in his message to the club.

The club is headed by Josephine Hilado as president, with Rosario Javelona as immediate past president and membership chairman, PP Ma. Pastora Conde – 1st vice president, PP Vilma Laurente – 2nd VP, Ma. Lourdes Theresa Luzuriaga – 3rd VP;

Rose Marie Baguios – secretary and service chairperson, Preciosa Cabintoy – assistant secretary, Norma Macatunao – treasurer, Gefel Joy Santillan – auditor, Carmen Gensoli – Lion Twister and PIO, and PP Teresita Gensoli – club LCIF coordinator. The members of the Board of Directors are, for two years, Marisol Gamban, Mitzi Mijares, and Phoebe David, and for one year, Elizabeth Woodhouse, Maricar Ramos, and Catherine Infante, who is also the assistant treasurer.*
