The San Carlos City government and its Tourism Office, in partnership with the Bossy Fur Petshop, hosted the Pintaflores dog show on November 20, at the city’s Brgy. 4 covered court.

At least 100 different breeds of dogs from the cities of Bacolod, Kabankalan and San Carlos registered for the competition.

In all breed categories, Tiny, a Pomeranian, won Best in Show, while a Doberman named Duke was the Best in Puppy.

Tiny also won Best in Small Breed; Harry, a Corgi, was the Best in Medium Breed; while a Rottweiler named Draco won Best in Large Breed.

The Exotic Stock Off in the Adult category award went to Sabio, the exotic bully, while in the American Bully category, RB was the overall winner for Best in Show.

Jiro, a Pomeranian, was the winner of Dress Up Your Dog.

Rex Regis of Negros Bully Alliance of Dumaguete City and organizer of the event said the dog show was aimed at educating dog lovers, especially regarding the American Bully breeds, since they tend to be perceived as aggressive when they are not.

He added that their group may hold a seminar for dog lovers of all types of dogs next year, especially the American bullies in San Carlos City.*
