The San Carlos City Negros FC was hailed champion among the six teams that competed during the Charter Day Invitational Football Men’s Open Category facilitated by the San Carlos City Football Club, in coordination with the City Sports Office, on June 25 to July 1, at the Centermall Grounds.

The NOFA Abanse Negrense team bagged the 1st runner-up while ERCO-BRO of Cebu City and Club de los Hermanos de Futbol of Escalante City won 2nd and 3rd runners-up, respectively.

Other teams that competed in the tournament were the Real Negrense FC of Bacolod City and Sagay FC.

Francis Roy Barcuma, Charter Day Invitational Football Men’s Open Category Match Commissioner, said it was the first tournament held under the leadership of the new president of San Carlos City Football Club, Marty Cui.*
