The Philippine National Police (PNP)-San Carlos with the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 6 distributed grocery packs at Lamesa Integrated School, Brgy. Buluangan, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on December 19.
According to the press release, at least 152 residents of Sitio Lamesa received three kilos of rice, canned goods, and other basic commodities while 40 children received toys.
PNP-San Carlos Chief Police Jesus Mesahon Jr. said Christmas is about giving back to others and the distribution is their way of sharing the blessings they have received.
He also thanked the local government unit of San Carlos headed by Mayor Renato Gustilo and other stakeholders for their support.
The PNP also presented a video on Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA), a drug demand reduction campaign of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) while the PNP, RMFB, stakeholders, barangay officials, and beneficiaries committed to supporting the anti-drug advocacy of the government.
Buluangan Punong Barangay Desiderio Enarciso thanked the concerned agencies for choosing Sitio Lamesa residents as the beneficiaries of the activity.*
