The municipal government of San Enrique yesterday received P7.9 million worth of heavy equipment from the provincial government of Negros Occidental, in support and further strengthening of its Solid Waste Management Program.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led on Monday the turnover of one unit of backhoe to San Enrique Mayor Jilson Tubillara at the Provincial Capitol grounds in Bacolod City, witnessed by Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa.

The heavy equipment will be utilized for various municipal development activities, including drainage and canal excavation, road construction and maintenance, disaster response operations such as clearing debris after floods or landslides, and other public works projects aimed at improving infrastructure and community safety.

Prior to the turnover ceremony, a deed of donation was formally signed between Lacson and Tubillara.*
