The new P80 million public market of San Enrique in Negros Occidental is now open for business.
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer, assisted by Mayor JilsonTubillara, led the inauguration of the new public market of San Enrique, the construction of which was funded through the Municipal Development Fund Office and Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.
Tubillara acknowledged the effort and support of the provincial officials led by Gov. Lacson in realizing the town’s dream of constructing a new public market and pledged to take good care of the project.
On the other hand, Vice Gov. Ferrer also assured that the programs and projects of the provincial government will continue, and the local unity will prevail despite the local officials’ difference in political views in the national level.
Lacson advised officials and residents of San Enrique to help maintain the cleanliness of the market and help boost the local economy, for more development in the town.
The inauguration of the new market was also witnessed by San Enrique Vice Mayor Meschille Balenario and members of the Sangguniang Bayan, among others.

Lacson and Negros Occ. Schools Division Superintendent Marsette Sabbaluca, also led the turnover to the teachers of San Enrique laptops and printers which were funded through the Provincial School Board.
District Supervisor Almera Monreal thanked Lacson and the provincial government for the strong support to education through projects that help them cope with the distance learning modality.*
