“Sari-Sari” is his third solo exhibit held during his birth month.
The exhibit focuses on portraits of everyday life with the artist exploring the complexities of human identity through bold brushstrokes, vivid colors, intricate details and ethnic patterns, an artist’s statement said.
His art style is cubism, realism, abstract, surrealism, and many others, but he prefers incorporating ethnic touches as his signature contemporary style. He is also inspired by the works of Manansala and Salvador Dali.

Viewers are treated to a kaleidoscope of styles, techniques, and themes, each one offering a unique perspective on the portraits of everyday people whether through abstract expressionism, realism, or surrealism, the artworks invite viewers to see people in new and imaginative ways.
Chavez had his first solo exhibit in 2015, his second titled “Bugana”, and had also joined several group exhibits. He is a member of the Negrense Artists Circle, Inc. (NACI), and the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros (AABN). He is also a musician.
