The sashing and presentation of the 21 candidates for the first Miss Universe Philippines – Negros Occidental was officially opened by MUPH local director Kashmere Granada at the Atrium, North Wing of SM City Bacolod on Saturday.
The 21 candidates, representing the different cities and municipalities in Negros Occidental, have different advocacies such as youth empowerment, anti-violence against women and children, human rights, education, animal and community welfare, among others. They answered questions from the media during the program hosted by Cyrus Alcala and Elli Elola.
The candidates are Bernie Larit, Arianah Dimson, Jonalyn Grace Diamena, Allana Brodit, Frances Marie Monsale, Anika Rose Torres, Hannah Eureka Carriedo, Angeline Shane Javellana, Carvi Reyes Lacson, Dissa Figueroa, Franches Anne Laquibla, Althea Nicole Gadingan, Ina Marie Hengelmolen, Brittany Kendylle Gabutina, Mary Angelique Faye Cabellero, Angelica Janine Layoso, Cj Lois Nicole Wong, Louise Lian Bobe, Patricia Ysabel Galapino, Precious Ramiragen Batiancilla, and Elvie Mae Barrios.
A Charity Gala Night will be on November 14 at Roy’s Hotel and Convention Center, while the Grand Coronation Night will be on Nov. 24 at SMX Convention Center.
Only one winner will be selected to represent Negros in the Miss Universe Pageant.*
