The members of the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros is having an ongoing group art exhibition at 18th Palapala Seafood Grill & Restaurant in Bacolod City, which will run until January 6, 2024.
Titled “Baybayon”, the show features the works of 46 members of the AAB-N.
“Baybayon is a celebration of the bounty of our seas around our island and the lives that it continues to touch,” AAB-N president Tey Sevilleno said in her speech at the opening.
“As part of the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros exhibitions for the year, we have been doing Negros-themed art shows in notable restaurants in Bacolod and we call it Arte Negrense,” she said.
“A salute to the artistry of Negrosanon artists and the stories of us Negrenses. AABN artists are indeed thankful to our restaurants for letting us partner with them,” Sevilleno added.
The Art Association of Bacolod-Negros is the second longest-running art group in the country next to the Art Association of the Philippines and was founded by Edgardo “Budot” Lizares.*
