Seda Capitol Central in Bacolod City kicked off the holiday season with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on November 17, as it marked its 8th anniversary celebration.
The lighting of the Christmas tree symbolized hope, joy, and togetherness.
The event featured the Kalipay Negrense Foundation, which is dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned, neglected, malnourished, abused, and trafficked children, providing not only shelter and education, but also healthcare and counselling, since 2007. The support of Ayala Land Foundation for Kalipay’s cause further strengthened its partnership and shared commitment to social responsibility, creating positive ripples in the community.

Joining the Christmas tree-lighting ceremony were Emee Aganon, head of Strategy and Development of Ayala Land Hospitality; Joseph Del Rosario, area general manager of Seda Hotels-Wesyern Visayas; Donato Sermeno lll, regional director of the Office of Civil Defense, Negros Island Region; Ma. Teresa Manalili, Chief Tourism Operations Officer of the Bacolod City Tourism Office; and Mhel Sellador, executive director of Kalipay Negrense Foundation.
The De La Salle Choral and Seda Capitol Central Choir provided a festive atmosphere with their Christmas song numbers, while guests were treated to buffet dinner, featuring the best of Bacolod’s flavors, and raffle draw.*
