The lifeless body of a 60-year-old senior citizen male was found on his bed at his residence in Sitio Labugon, Barangay Nanunga, Hinigaran, on Tuesday morning.
According to the niece of the deceased, she discovered her uncle lying motionless and without signs of life when she went for a visit.
The incident was reported immediately to the Hinigaran Municipal Police Station, and upon the arrival of the police, a dead body was found lying on an improvised bamboo bed inside his house.
Further investigation revealed that the victim was living alone and formerly suffered from kidney trouble and arthritis that may have caused his death. The family believed that their deceased member’s death was due to this reason.
The police found no signs of violence at the scene, and the family believed that no foul play was involved in the circumstances surrounding the death of their relative.
The cadaver of the victim was brought to a funeral parlor and will undergo medico-legal examination.*
