Separate buy bust operations of the police led to the arrest of two drug suspects and recovery of an estimated P174,000 worth of suspected shabu, along with an unlicensed firearm with ammunition on Tuesday, in Negros Occidental.
A buy bust operation at Hacienda Bayabas 1 in Brgy. Daga, Cadiz City, conducted by the police led to the apprehension of Lowell Pradilla, 18, of Brgy. Banquerohan, Cadiz City.
The arrest of Pradilla yielded a caliber .38 revolver with four ammunition, an estimated 1.5 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P10,500, and marked money of P500, according to the Cadiz City police.
Another similar police operation at Center Mall in Brgy. Palampas, San Carlos City, led to the recovery of about 24.17 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P164,356.
Nabbed in San Carlos City was Jofel Bacalla, 42, of Brgy. 2 in the city.
The two arrested drug suspects are now locked up in jail, pending the filing of charges against them for violation of RA 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.*
