A motorcycle driver was wounded and his backriding brother was killed in a gun attack that occurred yesterday morning in Purok Active, Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City.
Initial reports said that the victims, identified only by aliases ‘Harold,’ the driver, and ‘Harley,’ the backrider, were on board a blue Honda Click 125 motorcycle, and were reportedly heading home when they were ambushed at around 8:40 a.m. yesterday.
The unidentified suspects, who were on a red Rusi motorcycle without a license plate, fired upon the victims.
According to the report, Harley sustained a gunshot wound to the head, and was immediately rushed to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the motorcycle, his brother, Harold, also sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Witnesses in the area heard three gun shots.
The Bacolod City Police Office is currently conducting a follow-up investigation to identify the suspect.*
