Signature drive launched to revoke Baciwa-PrimeWater JVA

Water Watch Advocates, a coalition of concerned citizens and organizations, will be launching a signature campaign for the revocation of the Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) between Bacolod City Water District (BACIWA) and PrimeWater on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Kadiwa Center, Bacolod City.

Wennie Sancho, Water Watch Advocates convenor, is calling on the public to join them in demanding accountability and transparency in the management of our water services.

The JVA between BACIWA and PrimeWater has raised concerns about the potential impact on water rates, service quality, and public control, he said.

“Join us as we launch our signature campaign for the JVA revocation, rally for public control over water services, demand transparency and accountability from our public officials,” Sancho said.*
