BLESSING.  Silay City Fire Marshal F/Supt. Todel Legaspi (second from left) with Executive Assistant to the Mayor Julius Estrobo, assistant City Assessor Zeaphard Gerhart Caelian, Toyota representative and Silay City firefighters during the blessing of newly-acquired vehicles in Silay City on Dec. 2*

The Silay City Fire Station headed by F/Supt. Rodel Legaspi, City Fire Marshal, recently received a brand-new pick-up from the Silay City Government headed by City Mayor Joedith Gallego and Vice-Mayor Thomas Maynard Ledesma, a press release from the Silay Bureau of Fire Protection said.

This is to show the support of the city government to the BFP for the conduct of the fire safety inspection as an implementation of the fire prevention and also other fire suppression activities.

The blessing of the vehicle was held along with that of other newly-acquired patrol cars of the Silay PNP at the Silay City Public Plaza last December 2, officiated by a parish priest from the San Diego Pro-cathedral in the city. All the vehicles were all ceremoniously sprayed with holy water, ensuring that the vehicles will remain protected as they fulfill their duty in the service of Silay.*
