Tribu Orobinocao of Barangay Orong was declared this year’s champion in the grand tribal arena dance competition during the 49th Sinulog sa Kabankalan Festival in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Sunday.
It bested six other competing tribes and took home the championship trophy and P2 million worth of projects including P120,000 in cash prize. It also won Best in Tribal Banner and Best Tribal Queen as special award, as well as Best in Music as a minor award.
Tribu Atiklan of Barangay Binicuil won first runner-up and received a trophy and P100,000 in cash prize. It also took home the Best Costume Design as special award and Best in Costume, Best in Choreography, and Best in Street Dancing as minor awards.




Second runner-up was Tribu Oting of Barangay 1, which received a trophy and P80,000 in cash prize. It also bagged a special award for Best in Sto. Niño. Meanwhile, third runner-up was Tribu Ylaya of Barangay 8, which received a trophy and P50,000 in cash prize. Tribu Pabling of Barangay 4 received the Pure Kabankalan award.
The Sinulog sa Kabankalan Festival 2025 Float top 3 winners also joined the parade during the tribal street dance competition, with Barangay Camingawan winning first place, while Barangay Tapi and Barangay Tan-awan landed second and third place, respectively.*
