Sipalay City government handed a total of 102 cleaning tools for the City’s Lakbayon and Lakbayan Project granted to 11 barangays of the city at the New Government Center on August 2.
The recipients were Barangays 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Canturay, Gil Montilla, Cartagena, Nabulao, Nauhang, and Cayhagan.
The equipment received included grass cutters, garbage bins, wheelbarrows, spades, hoes, sickles, garden towels, rubber boots, rubber gloves, straw gardener’s hats, garbage bags, and weighing scales.
The project was initiated by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office and was funded by the Gender and Development (GAD) Fund CY 2022 under the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
Sipalay City Mayor Maria Gina Lizares led the turnover, which was attended by Executive Assistant Praem Mediodia, City Social Welfare and Development-OIC Ivy Lynn Gallenero, and General Services Office-OIC Dennis Saril.
Also present were representatives from City Environment and Natural Resources Office and Sangguniang Panglungsod namely Roderico Bolo and Gee Larido, respectively.*
