The Sipalay City government has formally turned over two hectares of land area to Central Philippines State University – Sipalay Campus, where it is already situated, on August 4.

This transpired during the courtesy visit of State Universities and Colleges President Aladino Moraca, Campus Administrator Ervin Ferraris, CPSU Executive Assistant Victoria Besana, Quality Assurance Director Dr. Grenny Jungco, along with college deans Riza Stephanie Alfaras, Sheila Ignacio and Roland Marcel Bachiller, to Sipalay City Mayor Maria Gina Lizares at her office at the New Government Center.

They discussed relevant matters that will benefit not only Sipalay, but the entire southern Negros. Additional courses to be offered in CPSU Sipalay Campus were also brought up.

In the afternoon of the same day, CPSU held its graduation ceremony where Executive Assistant Engr. Praem Mediodia, in behalf of Mayor Lizares, handed over the plaque that proves the ownership of the campus of the land area donated by the city.

Mediodia also relayed the congratulatory message from Mayor Lizares to the graduates.

In the message, he also highlighted that learning should not stop after the graduation, adding that learning will still continue as they go along their way in life.*
