Team Ugyon Sipalaynon filed their Certificates of Candidacy at the Comelec Office at the Old City Hall, Sipalay City, on October 3.
The team led by Maria Gina Lizares filed her COC for her last term as city mayor, along with Oscar Montilla Jr. for vice mayor, and their Sangguniang Panlungsod candidates Angelica Alvarez, Leslie Alejano, Claudio Bacatan, Dennis Galvan, Ulysses Hisona, Praem Mediodia, Anabelle Nobleza, Janewill Gift Selga, and Rome Vargas.
Only James Anthony Garrucho was not able to attend due to conflict of schedules. He will be filing his COC at a later date.
Prior to the filing of COCs, the team attended a mass in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Barangay 2.
Sangguniang Panlungsod member Ralph Alvarez, who is running for a seat in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, was also present to support the team.*
