The City of Sipalay in Negros Occidental celebrated its 77th Founding Anniversary and Pasaway Handurawan Festival 2025 on December 20.
This year’s festival dance competition winners were Cluster 1 – Marcabulao, composed of Barangays Maricalum, Cayhagan, and Nabulao was declared this year’s over-all champion during the Pasaway Handurawan Festival Dance Competition 2025 in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental Saturday.
The group took home P50,000 in cash prize and trophy. They also bagged several minor awards including Best in Costume, Best in Festival Costume Design, Best in Concept, Best in Production Design, Best in Choreography, and Best Choreographer – Christian Valencia. They were awarded second runner-up in the street dance category.
First runner-up was awarded to Cluster 4 – Quartres, composed of Barangays III and IV. They were the champion in the street dance category and took home the Most Disciplined Group award. The group was also the champion in the Choreographers’ Showdown competition.
Cluster 7 – Santugena, composed of Barangays Canturay, Cartegena, and San Jose were named second runner-up, and first runner-up in the street dance category.
Other minor awards were awarded to Cluster 5 – Caminhoc, composed of Barangays Camindangan, and Manlucahoc as Best Cluster Banner, while Cluster 6 – Mambadiangan, composed of Barangays Mambaroto, and Cabadiangan were awarded as Best in Final Dance Showdown.*
