The police reported the discovery of skeletal remains of two persons and the decomposing body of another victim, dumped in Silay City, as well as the discovery of the lifeless body of a missing teenager in Calatrava, all in Negros Occidental.

A hogtied decomposing human body and the skeletal remains of two persons, had been dumped at a ravine at Oyut bridge in Sitio Lantawan, Brgy. Guimbalaon, Silay City, were retrieved by the police on December 31.

Silay City police chief, PLt. Col. Mark Anthont Darroca, disclosed that the identities of the three victims were yet to be established, as of press time.

Based on the testimonies of a witness, Darroca said they were told that a brown Toyota Innova vehicle stopped at the bridge, where two persons disembarked and threw a sack into the ravine.

The result of the autopsy showed that the two persons, whose skeletal remains were separately wrapped, may have been killed more than a month ago, according to Darroca.

The skeletal remains and the decomposing human body were buried on January 1 at the Silay City public cemetery.

Darroca said he believes that the victims may have been killed in other places and the dumped in Silay City.

He advised those who may have missing family members, to coordinate with the Silay City police, for identification of the victims.

On the other hand, the search for a 17-year-old, who was reported missing on December 30, ended on January 2, after his lifeless body was found floating in a swamp at Lower Proper in Brgy. Bantayanon, Calatrava.

The family of the teenager has requested the Calatrava police for the conduct of an autopsy to determine the cause of death.*
