To mark Labor Day, SM City Bacolod joins the nationwide initiative of SM Supermalls and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to provide accessible employment opportunities for Filipinos.
Spearheaded locally by the Bacolod City Public Employment Service Office (PESO), the Labor Day Job Fair will be held on May 1 to 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Main Atrium of SM City Bacolod.
This two-day event is part of a broader nationwide rollout of job fairs across 20 SM malls, reaffirming SM Supermalls’ ongoing commitment to driving employment and economic recovery across the country.
Thousands of job opportunities await job seekers from Bacolod City and nearby areas who are invited to take advantage of the Labor Day Job Fair, where they can explore over 13,000 job opportunities offered by more than 70 participating employers from both local and overseas industries. A wide range of sectors will be represented, including business process outsourcing (BPO), manufacturing, retail, hospitality, construction, academe and more, giving applicants the chance to find roles that match their skills, experience, and career goals.
Empowering Communities, One Job at a Time “By working hand-in-hand with DOLE and our local partner PESO Bacolod, we are proud to be a bridge between employers and job seekers, helping build stronger communities through gainful employment,” said May Castro, public relations manager of SM City Bacolod.
This initiative underscores SM’s broader role in nation-building—supporting job creation, economic revitalization, and long-term growth.*
