Silay-based artist R.A. Tijing opened his 17th solo exhibit titled ‘PechoPak-Boy’ at the Art Cove of Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod Monday that will run until Jan. 7, 2026.
Tijing also unveiled a mural he made with Jovito Hecita and Jay-R Delleva, titled ‘Food Trip,’ also at the hotel. In the heart of the mural unfolds the flavorful story of Bacolod and Negrense cuisine, a celebration of food, culture, and the vibrant spirit of Negros.
Tijing is a self-taught artist, painter, and toy designer. His works, which are mostly pop, surreal, contemporary, and social realism, have been exhibited at Ayala Museum, Vargas Museum, and Ben Cab Museum, among many others. He also held international shows at FN Design Gallery (Dubai,UAE), Imago Mundi (Italy), Kurnst Kraft Werk (KKW) Museum, Leipzig, Germany, etc.



He is a semi-finalist in the 2010 Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE) Awards, and a three-time nominee for the 13 Artists Awards Philippines (2012, 1015, and 2018). He was selected for the Gwangju Art Exhibition, Korea Art Residency in 2015, where he participated in the Gwangju Art Exhibition, and later joined an artist residency at Kunstkraftwerk, Leipzig, Germany.*
