A total of P360,000 in livelihood assistance was received on Monday by 59 solo parents and Child Development Workers (CDWs) in Negros Occidental.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, assisted by personnel of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, led the distribution of financial assistance to the beneficiaries, composed of 34 solo parents who received P5,000 each, while the 19 CDWs got a subsidy of P10,000 each from the provincial government.
Last week, a total of 195 CDWs in Kabankalan City also received a subsidy from the provincial government in the amount of P3,000 each, intended for the last quarter of 2024.
Lacson expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the solo parents and CDWs for their contributions and commitment to shaping the future of children, and the positive impact they make in the communities to which they belong, a press statement from the Capitol said.*
