Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade has directed the Department of Transportation in Western Visayas to find a solution to the problem of Bacolodnons on the availability of public transportation during the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine period.
Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya said yesterday that he presented to Tugade the problem of Bacolodnons, who have no vehicles to take them to work, since all public transportations have been suspended in city under its MECQ status.
Gasataya said it will be a big help to the people of Bacolod if government can provide free transport service in the midst of the inconveniences caused by the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Gasataya said Land Transportation Office regional director Eric Tabaldo assured him that his office is coordinating with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board so they could find ways to address the transportation needs of Bacolodnons.*
