The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod yesterday approved a resolution forwarding to the Office of Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, for evaluation and proper action, the request of Bacolod Bishop Patricio Buzon and various vendors associations to sell along the Bacolod City Public Plaza.
The Bishop wrote the SP requesting for the approval of a summer trade fair from March 15 to May 15 at the church property at the Bacolod Public Plaza, along Gatuslao-Rizal-San Juan streets.
Requests were also made by Sheila Versoza, RRMBAI president, to sell goods along Araneta-Gonzaga streets at the Bacolod Plaza from March 10 to April10, and BGVA president Marites Lee, along Gatuslao Street from March 20 to May 30.
Marife Fernandez, MBVO Corp. president, also requested for permission to use the parking area of the Bacolod Plaza, along Gatuslao Street or Gonzaga Street, for their yearly summer trade fair from March 25 to May 25.
Meanwhile, separate requests to rent government property were made by Denice Labarga for their trade fair on souvenir items and dry goods from March 15 to May 15, along San Juan to Rizal Street (beside Bongbong’s); and Niño Cuerpo for their summer trade fair from March 15 to May 15 at the plaza, fronting Merczi to Philtrust Bank, along Gatuslao Street also from March 15 to May 15.*
