The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod is urging Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez to implement City Ordinance No. 857, or the Bacolod Tree Museum Ordinance.
Authored by Councilor Em Ang, chair of the SP Committee on History, Culture, and Arts, the resolution said City Ordinance No. 857 was passed last September 24, 2018 to plant rare and endangered species of trees in Bacolod City, and also to boost the tourism visits to the Eco-park.
The implementation of the Bacolod Tree Museum Ordinance is timely as it is part of the thrust of Mayor Albee Benitez to establish more parks in the City, it said.
The Tree Museum is pivotal in fostering environmental consciousness, promoting sustainable practices, and enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of our city, the resolution added.*
