Malacañang has declared Aug. 2 as a special non-working day in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, which is celebrating its 25th charter anniversary today.
It is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Kabankalan be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to public health measures of the national government, according to Proclamation Number 24, which was issued by Malacañang, and signed by Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez, by authority of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.*
