Social Security System (SSS) President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Regino gave an overview of the various SSS programs during the state agency’s Stakeholders’ Forum on November 8 at the Acacia Grand Pavilion in Bacolod City.
Regino announced the two new programs that will benefit the informal economy workers–Flexible Payment Schedule for farmers, fisherfolks, and self-employed SSS members in the informal economy; and the Contribution Subsidy Provider Program (CSPP).
The forum also discussed the Workers’ Investment & Savings Program (WISP), a mandatory provident fund which provides safe, convenient, principal-protected, and tax-free individual retirement savings plan for SSS members who are actively paying a monthly salary credit (MSC) that exceeds P20,000. The SSS Chief also discussed the ongoing digitalization of other SSS programs and services to better serve its members and employers.

Sheila Galeno, Visayas West 1 Division vice president Lilani Benedian, Visayas Operations Group senior vice president Helen Solito, Branch Operations Sector executive vice president Voltaire Agas, PCEO Regino, member services and support group senior vice president Normita Doctor, Benefits Administration Division vice president Joy Villacorta, Office of the President and CEO Vice President Gwen Marie Judy Samontina, and Vice President for NCR Operations Group and concurrent Acting Head of Public Affairs and Special Events Division Fernando Nicolas attended the forum.*
