The Sugarbowl Tenpin Bowling Association Inc. (STAI) bowling team once again showcased excellence, resilience, and competitive depth as its young athletes secured multiple podium finishes at the PBF Youth Annual Games 2025, held December 26 at E-Lanes Bowling Center along Ortigas Avenue, San Juan City.
Headlining STAI’s campaign was Antonette Garcia, who captured the Girls’ Majors Division championship with a commanding eight-game total of 1,631 pins and a 203.88 average. Garcia’s triumph was made even more extraordinary by the physical challenge she endured throughout the event. Despite suffering from a stomach disorder, she displayed remarkable focus and mental toughness, delivering clutch performances when it mattered most to claim the gold medal and inspire fellow competitors.
Another notable achievement came from Adriel Francine Nedamo, who also topped the podium in the Girls’ Bantam Division together with team mate Hygeae Foster who won 3rd position, reinforcing STAI’s depth in youth development and competitive consistency across divisions.
STAI likewise made its presence felt in the Collegiate Division, where Paulene Sta. Ana delivered a strong and composed performance to secure 1st Runner-Up honors in the Girls’ Collegiate Division. Her consistency throughout the games placed her among the tournament’s elite collegiate competitors and contributed to STAI’s overall medal haul.
On the boys’ side, Alex Quimpo turned in one of the most courageous performances of the tournament. Despite battling hyperacidity during competition, Quimpo persevered to claim 2nd place in the Boys’ Bantam Division. Drawing strength from the constant encouragement of his parents from the stands, he completed the event with determination and heart, following the Champion Miguel Doloso whose win came from his personal promise to win the gold after getting the 3rd place last year’s annual games.
The podium finishes of Garcia, Foster, Nedamo, Sta. Ana, Doloso, and Quimpo underscored STAI’s continued success not only in producing champions but also in shaping athletes who embody resilience, discipline, and sportsmanship.
As the curtains closed on the PBF Youth Annuals 2025, STAI once again affirmed its standing as one of the country’s premier youth bowling institutions—proving that true victory is achieved through perseverance, passion, and unwavering support.*
