Negros Occidental Governor Honorable Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson Jr. yesterday gave one of the best “State of the Province Address” here in southern Philippines.
History was once again made as Governor Lacson enumerated for more than 90 minutes the highlights and actual accomplishments of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental under his leadership, with the support of Vice Governor Honorable Jeffrey Ferrer, the Sanggunian Panlalawigan and the different departments and offices of the entire Provincial Government.
The resounding conclusion was clear: “Despite the challenges caused by the previous years, the state of the province is good.”
The address focused on the remarkable progress, innovations, and even the awards and citations achieved by the province a year following his second term of office.
These achievements were not only in line with legal mandates but also with the present administration’s comprehensive development agenda, Abanse Negrense.*
