Fifteen houses in three barangays in Bacolod City were damaged due to continuous rains and strong winds caused by Typhoon Crising over the weekend.
Dr. Richelle Verdeprado-Mangga, head of the Bacolod Social Services and Development, yesterday said 12 of the 15 damaged houses are located in Barangay Granada, two in Brgy. Sum-ag, and one in Brgy. Tangub.
The roofs of some of these houses were reportedly damaged by fallen trees, while some parts of other houses were carried away by floodwaters, she said.
Verdeprado-Mangga said these houses have been validated by the barangay captains through their social workers, to be eligible to receive financial assistance amounting to P10,000 each from the local government.*
