A residential dormitory situated near Carlos Hilado Memorial State University-Fortune Towne Campus in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, caught fire last night, leaving P4 million in estimated damage to the structure.
The four-storey establishment was partially consumed by fire. However, 25 renters, mostly students, had their belongings burned by the blaze.
The Bureau of Fire Protection Bacolod City responded in the area within 6 minutes and was able to call fire out minutes after their arrival.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire as an investigation is still underway.*
