A minor was reported to by the police to have been declared dead on arrival at a hospital, after allegedly killing herself on Saturday at Hacienda Margasa 2 in Barangay E. Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
The victim, a 10-year-old girl, was reported to have committed suicide, according to initial investigations of the Silay City police.
The victim’s sibling told the police that she discovered her sister hanging, upon entering the kitchen of their grandmother’s house.
A gray plastic straw was tied around her neck, attached to a wooden roof frame in the kitchen, according to the police
The alleged suicide incident is still under investigation by the Silay City police.
On the other hand, a trisikad driver died, while his companion survived, after both were shot at by an unidentified gunman on Saturday at Antonio Luna Interior in Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City.
Alias Mark, 33, who succumbed to gunshot wound in the head, was declared dead on arrival at the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City, while his companion, alias Paulo, 28, suffered injuries at his back.
Investigations of the Silay City police showed that the both victims were having a drinking spree inside a residential compound, when the unidentified suspect entered, and shot them without any reason at all.*
