SUNN partners with LandBank for Cash-Lite Campus

• THERESA MAE DULMAN

The State University of Northern Negros (SUNN) transitioned toward a digital economy with the official rollout of LandBank’s Cash-Lite Campus Program on February 19.

According to the Land Bank of the Philippines, the program is designed to integrate practical financial education with banking technology, teaching students essential habits such as budgeting and secure digital spending.

The initiative provides more than 2,000 students and campus partners with secure digital account access to pay for tuition, food, and other transactions without relying on physical cash.

LandBank President and CEO Lynette Ortiz said introducing students to the formal banking system through secure digital channels at an early stage is vital for advancing inclusive growth.

She further noted that this integration helps nurture a generation capable of actively participating in the economy.

SUNN President Dr. Renante Egcas stated that the partnership allows students to experience the integration of financial technology into their daily lives.*
