Suspected gun-for-hire with links to robbery, drugs, collared

A suspect of multiple crimes was arrested on Wednesday, March 18, by virtue of a standing warrant for drug-related offenses by a joint operation led by Police Station 3 and the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Intelligence Unit.

The suspect, identified as alias ‘Pocholo,’ a resident of Prk Lilang, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City, was apprehended for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Aside from the drug-related charges, the suspect is identified as a notorious robbery and gun-for-hire suspect linked to a series of incidents, including a recent robbery at Purok Baybayon, Brgy. Banago.

On March 17, at approximately 12:40 p.m., a 24-year-old victim from Brgy. Sum-ag was allegedly lured to the area to meet a female chatmate.

The suspect reportedly introduced himself as a representative of the chatmate before drawing an unknown firearm and declaring a holdup.

The suspect is also allegedly involved in a recent shooting incident within the jurisdiction of Police Station 3.

The warrant used for his arrest was issued by the Branch 47, Regional Trial Court, Bacolod City.*
