The Bacolod City Police Office apprehended two suspects in connection with the robbery hold-up of a doctor that occurred on May 28 in Barangay 19, Bacolod City.
The first suspect, a 37-year-old male identified as alias ‘Remmy,’ was arrested on the evening of May 30 at the Barangay 40 Hall.
The second suspect, a 32-year-old male identified as alias ‘Shander,’ is a resident of Brgy. Cabug, who was taken into custody early May 31 during a joint operation by Police Station 1 and the City Intelligence Unit.
The armed robbery occurred as the victim, identified as alias ‘Jireh,’ was walking towards her apartment, when she was approached by the suspects riding in tandem on a gray and yellow Sniper 150 motorcycle.
The back rider pointed a firearm at the victim and threatened to shoot her if she did not hand over her belongings.
Review of nearby CCTV footage revealed that the suspects chased down the victim and forcibly grabbed her bag after she attempted to flee and resist.
During the arrest of ‘Shander’, authorities recovered a Yamaha Sniper 150 motorcycle, an iPhone 17 Pro, and a Samsung Galaxy A55 5G from the suspect’s possession.
Prior to the arrests, a total reward of P200,000 had been offered by the Philippine National Police and Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya, for information leading to the capture of the suspects.*
