Talisay Mayor Neil Lizares with Assistant City Administrator and concurrent City of Talisay Investment and Economic Promotions Office head, Ismael Penado, conducted a training dubbed “Asenso Talisay: The MSME Success Road Map,” on September 12 at the Dela Rama Hall of the New Talisay City Hall, a press release from Talisay PIO said.
The training was a comprehensive capacity-building initiative aimed at strengthening the city’s local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), a program that focuses on key areas crucial to business development and success. It featured top-notch resource speakers who shared their knowledge and valuable insights from their respective fields of expertise.
Rojan Tubungan, P3 (Pondo sa Pagbabago at Pag-Asenso) coordinator from a small business corporation, discussed vital information on Access to Finance. Jane Lamboso, PICPA – Negros Occidental president, provided insights on Government Registration and Compliance Requirements, while Atty. Dennis Udani, immediate past president of PICPA – Negros Occidental, delivered a session on Accounting for Non-Accountants, helping business owners better manage their finances.
A total of 50 participants composed of officers and members from different cooperatives in the city, selected personnel from the City Agriculture Office, member cooperatives associated with the city’s Balay Kalubihan Project and members of the SLPA (Sustainable Livelihood Program Association) attended the event, gaining essential tools and knowledge to enhance their business operations.
